Marketing Manchester is the Tourist Board for Greater Manchester and acts as an intermediary in securing accommodation for this event and does not contract as a principal. Accordingly, we are not liable for any loss or damage due to or arising from any acts or omissions of persons, firms or companies for whom they act as an intermediary. Marketing Manchester is a membership organisation working only with accredited accommodation providers however cannot accept any responsibility for standards.
Marketing Manchester shall not be liable to any extent in the event of delay or failure in providing or procuring any services or facilities due to any cause beyond the proper control.
Having accepted room policies you are responsible for your own reservation and any reservations you have made on behalf of others. It is your responsibility to forward to Marketing Manchester all ROOMING LISTS SIX WEEKS PRIOR to arrival.
Tax Policy:
VAT is included at the rate of 20%
City Visitor Charge:
From the 1st April 2023, a supplementary city visitor charge of £1 per room per night will be added to the final accommodation bill. This statutory charge is collected from all accommodation establishments within the Manchester Accommodation Business Improvement District Zone.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event of non-arrivals or failure to cancel a reservation within the cancellation terms and conditions charges may occur. Should charges be incurred the credit/debit card used as a guarantee will be charged in line with the appropriate terms and conditions.
1 TO 2 ROOMS: Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours prior to arrival without penalty. Cancellations of all or any room nights after the 48 hour deadline will incur 100% charges.
3 TO 9 ROOMS: Cancellations can be made up to two weeks prior to the start date of the conference. Cancellations of all or any room nights after this date will incur 100% charges.
10 ROOMS or more: Cancellations can be made up to four weeks prior to the start date of the conference. Cancellations of all or any room nights after this date will incur 100% charges.
In some circumstances the accommodation provider may require you to contract with them directly; this contract will then supersede any terms and conditions set by Marketing Manchester.
All amendments to and cancellations of reservations must be provided in writing to Marketing Manchester (abs@visitmanchester.com); this request is only valid upon written confirmation from Marketing Manchester.
Payment Policy:
Marketing Manchester offers a reservation service and does not take any payment, all payments must be settled directly with the accommodation provider/s.
Reservations made by credit/debit card will be charged by the accommodation provider on arrival/departure.
Reservations made by pro-forma and third party credit card authorisation must be settled prior to arrival directly with the accommodation provider. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the accommodation provider’s terms and timeframe for payment. When liaising with the accommodation provider please mention Marketing Manchester.
Reservations to account will require a credit agreement and must be settled directly with the accommodation provider/s as per their terms and conditions.
