Manchester Metropolitan University Conference and Events will be hosting GUADEC 2017 this summer.

GUADEC is the GNOME project’s biggest and most important event in the calendar. The annual event brings together free software enthusiasts and professionals from all over the world, providing an opportunity to learn about the latest developments, learn new skills, participate in workshops and attend talks to hear from leading experts.

The event is set to take place from 28 July to 2 August 2017, with Brooks building being the core conference venue. Manchester Met’s digital innovation hub will also host a three-day workshop during the event. Utilising the flexible event spaces in Brooks building, the programme will include keynote talks, demonstrations, workshops and interactive discussions. Importantly this year, the GNOME project celebrates its 20th birthday and organisers have coordinated a range of social activities. Located in the city centre with good transport connections, Manchester Met conference and event facilities will be easily accessible for delegates travelling from across Europe to the conference.

The conference is open to everyone and guests can register online to attend the event:https://registration.guadec.org/
