The UK’s largest live entertainment experience has opened in Manchester.

A world-class, planet friendly hub will bring some of the world’s greatest acts and events to the city region. Set to be one of the most sustainable venues in Europe, Co-op Live has dedicated itself to giving back to both the planet and the people.

Located on the Etihad Campus in East Manchester, the joint venture between Oak View Group and City Football Group, in partnership with its naming rights partner Co-op, has a maximum capacity of 23,500 visitors. The arena is made up of eight distinct event spaces across four levels, with state-of-the-art locations suitable for conferences, formal and informal dinners, celebrations and awards, launches, listening parties and everything in between.

Easy transport links to the arena mean you can get to the venue stress free from either tram, bus, train or on foot. The vibrant CityLink walking route means while you make your way to the arena, you can enjoy an interactive lighting installation, busking by local talent in the busking areas and pop-up food and drink stalls. Accommodation is also available right by Co-op Live, with the popular areas of Ancoats and Piccadilly right on your doorstep. Covering all types of hotels and apartments, no matter what the budget or requirements are for your delegates.

This new venue will redefine the traditional arena model, offering all visitors the best possible event experience. Inspired by Manchester’s role as a leading global centre for music, sport and live entertainment. With a full calendar of events already, including the recent announcement of MTV European Music Awards in November and countless world class artists.

Rest assured when booking entertainment and sports events and conferences, that sustainability and net neutrality is a key focus for the arena, specifically designed to support Manchester’s Zero Carbon 2038 commitments. From a football pitch and a half of solar panels to toilets that flush with rainwater to intelligent building controls in increasing biodiversity with trees and wildflowers around the arena, a redesigned and sustainable walking route to cycle spaces and more frequent Metrolink tram connections.
